Introduction
Electrostatic discharge (ESD) from materials and personnel need to be drained in order to avoid damage to precision electronic products such as disk drives, PCBs and test equipment.
Our permanently conductive and static dissipative foam materials offer protection against electrostatic discharge. The range of conductive and static dissipative foams are fully encapsulated carbon-impregnated polyolefin foams providing a non-corrosive conduction. The robust nature of these foams make them ideal for repeated use applications.
Anti-static Statocell foams are a non-cross-linked low density polyethylene material giving a cost effective way of packaging ESD sensitive products. Due to high performance of Stratocell/Jiffy foam it can be reused and, as with most polyethylene products, the foam can be easily recycled.
Our polyethylene foams are manufactured by a CFC and HCFC Free process.
Static protective products can be supplied with outer conductive boxes to provide a complete ESD solution for your products.
Application
The conductive/dissipative characteristics of the foam are not affected by environmental humidity, and are therefore ideally suited for material handling, transportation and storage of sensitive instruments.
These foam materials can be supplied as sheets, cut pads, handling trays and complete packaging solutions to protect against both the usual shock damage and the less apparent static discharge.
