Plastazote®
In august 2005 Paulamar became the first company in the UK to be formally appointed as both a general Fabricator/Distributor and Specialist Converter of the Zotefoams range of Azote Polyolefin Foams. The Azote range includes Plastazote, Evazote, Supazote and Propozote and are all made using a high-pressure nitrogen gas solution manufacturing process whereby extruded, cross linked polymer sheets are impregnated with pure nitrogen and subsequently expanded in a pressure chamber without the use of moulds. This unique process produces foams with exceptional cell size uniformity, low odour / high purity and outstanding physical attributes without solid residues from blowing agents . The Azote range of foams is produced from a wide range of polymers, including LDPE, HDPE and PP, as well as EVA co-polymers.
Products are available in special grades with flame retardant additives (for the construction and aerospace industries), conductive or static dissipitave properties (for electronics manufacturing and packaging). Foams are produced in a wide density range from 15kg/m3 up to 120kg/m3. Many grades are available in a wide range of colours.
Plastazote® Foam
Plastazote foam is a closed cell cross-linked polyethylene foam available in a wide range of polymer combinations. These combinations allow the material to exhibit different characteristics such as increased rigidity, improved temperature resistance and improved moulding ability. Lightweight, tough, flexible, moisture resistant, C.F.C. & H.C.F.C. free, that is easily fabricated, chemically inert and resistant to oils, solvents, dilute acids, UV light etc. Plastazote is available in a wide range of colours and used in many applicatiions including:

Evazote® Foam
Evazote is a closed cell cross-linked ethylene vinyl accetate (EVA) copolymer foam similar to Plastazote giving it a more “rubbery” feel. As with the Plastazote range certain grades of Evazote are conductive and are available in a range of colours. The applications for Evazote are similar to that of Plastazote, although it is particularly suited where the extra resilience may be of benefit. Evazote foam is produced in a range of densities from 30kg/m3 - 120kg/m3
The Evazote range of foams are tougher and more resilient than the equivalent Plastazote foams and are used extensively in sporting and footwear applications where repeated impacts are sustained.
Supazote® Foam
Supazote is a closed cell, cross-linked ethylene copolymer foam that has a super soft feel. It is ideally suited to applications requiring "soft touch" properties.
Propazote® Foam
A Closed cell polypropylene foam with a high resistance to temperature which can be recycled. Main application areas are the medical industry due to its tolerance to sterilisation methods, and the automotive industry.
ZOTEK® N
Zotek® N is a lightweight, closed cell, cross linked foam based on polyamide 6 (nylon). Currently availably in a density of 50 kg/m3. It is a tough, strong and durable material with outstanding high temperature tolerance and excellent resistance to a range of chemicals, particularly hydrocarbons, such as oils and fuels, alcohols and ketones.
Zotek® N has far higher temperature limits than those for polyethylene or polypropylene foams (the exact limit depends on the application and duration of exposure).
Applications include high temperature resistant seals, gaskets, packings in the general industrial and automotive markets, fluid level switches.
Conductive Foam
Permanently conductive and static dissipative expanded polyethylene foams offer protection for sensitive equipment against electrostatic discharge. Fully encapsulated carbon-impregnated foam which does not rely upon atmospheric conditions for bulk conduction. Available in black only both Plastazote and Evazote range of materials in various densities from 32kg/m3 to 120kg/m3.
Flame Retardant Plastazote®
Closed cell cross-linked expanded polyethylene foam charcoal grey available in densities from 15kg/m3 to 45kg/m3. Comply with various flammability standards including DIN 4102 pt14, FMVSS.302 and CAA8 Issue 2. As with the rest of the Plastazote® range the materials are chemically inert, highly resistant and CFC/HCFC free.
Palziv
Palziv chemically expanded cross-linked polyethylene foams are available in extruded rolls or as batch produced blocks. Both options are available in a wide range of densities and colours. Conductive and static dissipative grades are also available.
Stratocell®/Jiffy
A cost-effective packaging material available in different grades including anti-static and flame retardant. Extra-wide sheet widths ensure good yields and reduce waste. Stratocell/Jiffy polyethylene foam is manufactured by a CFC and HCFC free process, can be easily reused and recycled.
Anti-Static Stratocell®/Jiffy
Anti-static Stratocell®/Jiffy is a non-cross-linked low density polyethylene material, 29kg/m3 density and standard colour is pink. Due to high performance of Stratocell/Jiffy foam it can be reused and, as with most polyethylene products, the foam can be easily recycled. Anti-Static Stratocell/Jiffy polyethylene foam is manufactured by a CFC and HCFC free process.
Expanded EPDM
Expanded EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer) is a closed cell, cross linked synthetic rubber with good ageing properties and is resistant to ozone, ultra violet, acids and alkalis. Available in both black and white in a 125kg/m3 density. EPDM is manufactured in a CFC and HCFC free process and can be easily recycled. Used expensively in the automotive, roofing and sealing industries.
Expanded Neoprene
Expanded Neoprene (Polychloroprene) is a closed cell, cross linked synthetic rubber. Good ageing properties and resistant to weathering, UV, ozone, oils, alkalis, acids etc. Expanded Neoprene is CFC free and available in black only with an average density of 150kg/m3. Due to their chemical and compression characteristics an ideal material for use in seals and gaskets.
Polyurethane foam
Open cell Expanded Polyurethane (PU) foam is manufactured in various grades and densities eg. conductive, combustion modified, profiled, and general packaging. PU foam is available in a wide range of colours and sheet sizes to suit your application.
Black Solid Rubber
A variety of solid rubber, neoprene, EPDM and natural rubber etc. Available in a variety of grades, surface finishes , thickness and shore hardness.
